You sure are sunny and warm! We are in Hapnorfjordfjdfrtotdotta (ok, I may have added one or two extra syllables but not many) just outside of Reykjavic and are about to head out. We will be sure to report with the diligence of a cable news reporter what we find...
PS - we found Suky's mirror opposite. The picture is grainy but this cat is climbing vertically straight down bannisters on the third floor.
Iceland Travel facts:
- Airline: IcelandAir. Cheap flight from the East Coast to Europe with free 4 day layover in Iceland.
- Lodging: AirBnB. Staying just outside of Reykjavic for about $50 per night (conversion is currently 125 Icelandic krona to the dollar).
- Transportation. Unfortunately, car. There are a total of 300,000 people in all of Iceland so mass transit is minimal and non-existent to get to the natural sites. Tour buses are an option but expensive, fast-paced, and large groups.
