Today we got off to another slow start and were only able to visit two parts of the city.
In the early afternoon we went to Christianhavn which is a nice neighborhood bisected by canals. But more interestingly, it is also home to Cristiania - a village within the city that exists as a "freetown" beyond the laws and reach of the city despite occupying prime real estate. While we did visit the village, rule 3 of Christiana is 'no pictures' so we don't have any pictures. But its essence is accurately captured by imagining garbage barrel fires, unique shops and food stands, repurposed factory buildings and the smell of weed.
After Christiana we made our way northwest to Norreport and found a nice Indian restaurant for dinner, then dropped into a pub to watch the Spurs handle Chelsea - a very pleasant surprise to us and all the Spurs fans at the pub.
Since tomorrow is our last day in Copenhagen, we are going to try to get up early and visit at least one museum (we hope).
