Red Rocks (St. Raphael and Frejus)

Today we did a little more hiking, with more "up and down", except today we set out about two and a half hours south-west of Eze.
Our first stop was the village of Agay in St. Raphael, which is a beautiful and affluent area that still much more modest than some of the communities near Eze.  In Agay, we hiked around and over La Dramont, whose red stone, dramatic cliffs and numerous coves are an extension of the nearby and often visible Massif L'Esterel. After spending a few hours hiking in the blaring sun we took a dip in a small cove just north of La Dramont.

After drying off, but with salt still in our hair, we took a small detour to Frejus to eat dinner with a cheese monger we had read about - Mon Fromagerie. The meal did not disappoint, and we were glad for the opportunity to visit a more representative town.
