(Frankfurt & Munich, Germany) Planes, (6) Trains and Automobiles

From Keflevic to Frankfurt to Warzburg and finally onto Munich we finally made it after 17 hours.
Nothing to eventful today as most of it was dedicated to packing ourselves into human moving machines (though the intercity train from Warzburg to Munich was very pleasant). We did, however, have time for a nice lunch/dinner in Frankfurt. We were also regalled by a soon to be groom on accordian as a fund-raiser; fortunately nobody wants dollars.

Also a confession, for the Munich leg we are staying at a...gasp...hotel (and its nice.
One more piece of info: we are now 6 hours ahead of EST.
That is all for tonight. Danke for reading.

Germany Travel Info:

 - Airline: IcelandAir (continuing on the originally purchased NY to Frankfurt ticket)
 - Trains: Frankurt metro from airport to Frankfurt Sud, Deutsche Bahn to Warzburg, Intercity from Warzburg to Munich, Munich Metro to East Munich.
 - Transport in Munich: The metro.  Fast, reliable, clean, cheap.
 - Lodging: Used the last of our hotel points to book three nights in a Marriott Residence.  This is our only freebie of the trip.

Keflavic Airport, served almost exclusively by the publicly owned IcelandAir.

Our Intercity Train.

And the little car we relied on.  It is really sunny, but also 5:00 am.

A traditional German meal at a converted rail station in Frankfurt.

The soon to be groom playing until he is paid to stop.
