(Rome, Italy) Romanus Minimus

We always try to lead with the top news and for today that would be regarding our lodging. After three awesome AirBNB apartments/hosts we pushed it too far (30 euro per night) and are getting what we paid for; i.e.: we weren't given the correct address, we just got keys to the apartment, and it's not super clean. In the positive column Lorenzo and Luigi are nice guys and we are right near good transit.

Now onto more touristic news. Since we got here relatively late (well only late because we were not given a correct address...LORENZO!) we were only able to dip our toe in the Roma water. We went to Vatican City to test our piousness and while storm clouds did build we seem OK for entry tomorrow, we followed the hordes to Trevi Fountain because, well because, and we went to see the Colosseum at night which does not get a snarky comment because it is an awesome building.

We should also add that we don't have internet here either (which should be logged under the negative section) so posts will appear when we find an internet hotspot or when we can steal a neighbors signal.

Rome Travel Information:

 - Bus: Eurobus again.  About $40 per person from Florence, again much cheaper than a train.
 - Lodging: AirBnB. Will not regurgitate complaints, but only $36 per night for two.
 - Transportation: Metropass, good for train, tram, bus, metro.

Columns around St. Peters.

Colloseum at night.

Monument to Italian unification.

St. Peter's Balisica.

Trevi Fountain.  Half the people there are probably selling goop balls made of oil that we have never seen purchased, but constantly are sold. We'll just assume they have drugs to sell.

Trevi.
