Today (well now yesterday - LORENZO!) we put on our tube socks, fanny-packs, neon visors, and Disney t-shirts for the remainder of the sites you would associate with Rome: Spanish steps, Colloseum, Palatino Hill and the Roman Forum. The sites themselves were as impressive as you can imagine, especially the Colloseum, but we also really enjoyed one visitor to the Palatino Hill (where the Roman Emporers lived) who ditched the walking paths and nestled himself into a field of flowers to read a book. We couldn't figure if he had always been planning to do this or spontaneously jumped in.
Hopefully our aggressive itinerary will free us up for a slow paced day tomorrow (today) so we can get ready for our early flight Friday and enjoy the Italia/Croatia EuroCup match.
We would also like to congratulate Mom/Mrs. Ryan on her last day of teaching and the beginning of retirement. Since we are essentially pretending we are retired let us tell you it is pretty cool :).
Great shot in the Colosseum!
